Almost free resolutions for coherent sheaves

I shall present a survey on Almost free resolutions of R-constructible sheaves and of coherent sheaves as presented in the work of Kashiwara and Schapira. Almost free resolutions provide a tool to treat global problems from local properties. I shall also treat the case of R-constructiblity over a commutative Noetherian sheaf of rings.
