On the structure of semisimple Hopf algebras

We shall discuss the problem of the classification of semisimple Hopf algebras. Some methods of construction of nontrivial examples will be explained in connection with recent conjectures and open questions. We shall also present some examples relating semisolvability and the twisting construction, obtained in joint work with César Galindo.
